2024 AAKF Spring Training Seminar
April 12-14, 2024, Madison, WI
We are happy to announce the details of the 2024 AAKF Spring Seminar, hosted by the AAKF Great Lakes Region and the Madison Japanese Karate Club. Over three days of training we will focus on the continuous development of effective techniques and their application through kihon, kata and kumite.
The instruction will be performed by the members of the AAKF Technical Board. The tentative schedule below is subject to change. If there is sufficient youth attendance, there will be dedicated youth sessions.

Friday, April 12
Location: Luehring Gym, West High School, 30 Ash Street, Madison, WI 53726
- 6 pm to 9 pm: Kihon and Kata
Saturday, April 13
Location: Luehring Gym, West High School, 30 Ash Street, Madison, WI 53726
- 9:00 am to 12:15 pm - Kihon and kumite
- Lunch
- 1:45 pm to 5:00 pm - Advanced kata and kumite
- 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm - Brown belt and Shodan/Nidan rank exam
Please note: Examination fees are according to the AAKF fee schedule, and they are in addition to any participation fees.
Sunday, April 14

Participation Fees
Current (2024) AAKF members (registered online by April 10, or mailed registration postmarked by April 8):
- Adults (18 and older): $110.00 all sessions, $75.00 for one day, or $55.00 for one session
- Youth (17 and younger) and current students (high school or college): $80.00 for the whole seminar, $50.00 for one day, or $30.00 for one session
Current (2024) AAKF members (registered online after April 10, or mailed registration postmarked after April 8 or at the door):
- Adults and youth: $130.00 all sessions, $100.00 for one day, or $80.00 for one session
- No youth or student discount
Non-AAKF members will pay additional $40 to the fees listed above. If you are interested in membership, please don't hesitate to contact us.
All current AAKF USA Team members can attend free of charge.
